about me

Welcome! My name is Harriet, and I love wine.. but why do I love wine and what is it that’s brought me to sharing my wine knowledge with you?

For the last 3 years I’ve been travelling the world with work and my eyes have been opened to the rich and varied wines so many countries have to offer. From large vineyards to small independent ones the choice and variety of grapes and blends is phenomenal, creating a truly exciting smorgasbord of wine. 

I’ve spent holidays exploring port houses and vineyards in the most unlikely of places and indulged in wine tasting wherever I’ve been. Each unique and special visit leaves me bubbling with excitement like a bottle of sparkling wine ready to explode. 

With the restrictions that have been in place this year and the lack of accessibility for places to do wine tastings, I wanted to create a fun and different way to experience wine from the comfort of your own home. Thank you so much for the wine tasting session, I really enjoyed learning about wine and how it is made. I especially enjoyed tasting the different wines and how food can have an effect on the taste. With your knowledge I have now learned what to look for in a bottle of wine, which I’m sure will make dinners and nights on the sofa much more enjoyable.

Such fun. We Settled down to our white wine tasting, glasses and nibbles at the ready. Harriet ably guided us through a background to wine making (how little we knew!) and onto a brilliantly crafted tasting session which set our tastebuds tingling. Set 90 minutes aside, be prepared to laugh and learn a lot. Thank you Harriet.

We took part in a white wine tasting experience with Harriet and as people who drink a lot of wine but don’t know much about it this experience was so informative and fun. The course is very well organised and Harriet is very knowledgeable at guiding you through the wine making process and making us feel like wine connoisseurs at the end!
